Once in a lifetime tag....
This was an exciting year. I drew the once in a lifetime Mountain Goat tag and I got one. It was an awesome experience. I really had so much fun. We started our journey out at inspiration point, hiked over to willard peak and then up and over ben lomand peak and down about 2000 feet to get my goat. These mountains are about 10,000 feet in elevation and we were on the TIP TOP. It was an all day hunting trip. The first picture is of Garet and I, my dad, Todd and Brenon. This was our first time out to see what it was all about. We saw a lot of goats that night but we were more or less getting educated and didn't want to take the first thing we saw. I had a nanny tag and it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between a nanny and a billy. So the following week we went out again. I had the most incredible guides with me. Garet, Chase and Brett( a guide that works for the ranch from new zeland). Plus I had Todd spotting the North Ogden side of the mountains and my dad spotting the Liberty side of the mountains. It was a fool proof formula for success. Todd actually spotted and guided us into the herd we took our goat from. We spent 14 hours total getting our trophy and it was AMAZING and so much fun. In the second picture you can see the mountain top of Ben Lomand and we seriously were on the highest point of that peak, walked along the top and down to the spot we finally ended our hunt. Then it was a major hike back up all along the top and back to the truck. It was hard and steep. Garet, Chase and Brett do this for a living and it was hard on them. I don't think it is possible to realize the location of where these goats live unless you go up there. It is so beautiful. Thanks a million to all my guides and their hard work helping me to get an awesome, gorgeous once in a lifetime goat. And by the way...it only took me one shot to drop this beauty.

One thing is certain I have had some good laughs lately. One thing that made me laugh like I have never laughed before was a couple of bee stings. Easton and his friend were agitating a hornets nest and they came out with FURY. They both were stung but poor Hunter got stung on the eye and it swelled and swelled and swelled until he looked like a character on Star Trek. He said the funniest comments about himself and I Laughed so hard. But it really wasn't funny because he ended up going in for a shot of epinephren. He is a funny little fellow though.
And today Easton made me laugh. He got into trouble and so I told him he was grounded. He looked me straight in the eye and in ALL seriousness said, "I wish heavenly father NEVER EVER would have told you about grounded." I Lost all seriousness and LAUGHED.
Laughing feels so good. Right.

Jones Family PARTY! We all were together in the same place at the same time. Dalton and Holly recently moved back to Utah and Royce and Lauren were in town so we all headed up to Rulon and Kathys new home to PARTY. It was to so much fun to have all the kids together to play. They all get along well and have a lot of fun. We ate, swam, ate some more, played a few card games, had family pictures, and celebrated Easter. Thanks for a fun Easter weekend. So happy we could spend it together. THANKS Ru and Kath for building a beautiful, FUN, place for all of us to come and spend time together. We LOVE YOU!!!Saturday, May 14, 2011

MOMMY MOMENTS are...

Saturday, February 5, 2011
Today is one of those days. I think it will be one of those weeks, that turns into one of those months...hopefully it will not last the year.
It is that time of year again when the man of the house takes flight to the outfitter shows. It still takes getting use too even after 10 years of it. I guess the bright side of it all is that I still love him so much and hate when he is gone. It would be sad if I was looking forward to him leaving. We will take it one day at a time. I am happy we have a job when there are so many that do not. I shouldn't complain but it really is hard to have hime gone for so long. Especially during this time of year when all the sick bugs are out. We have been so healthy and then as soon as he gets ready to go BOOM we get hit. Then the already sleep deprived state I am in gets worse and...well all you mothers know how it is. I am happy and I am just having a moment today.

More About Boston...
This is my Grandpa Paul. Bostons Great Grandpa. We went to my Aunts house on New years day and he was there. It was awesome to get a picture together with him. Look at how AWESOME he looks. A few grays and a whole lot of brown his original hair color. Look at that face, 78 years and almost no wrinkles, it really isn't fair but so awesome he looks SO YOUNG. I am hoping and wishing he has passed those incredible genes on to me.
Last but not least Boston had his 2 month apt. after his blessing and here are his stats:
Head 15.7 50%
Length 24.5 91%
Weight 14.5 91%
He is our biggest boy so far at this age! He is a solid little chunk and so beautiful!
here is a comparable to the other 3 boys:
Easton Head 75%, Weight 11lbs 9.5oz 50%, length 22 3/4in 75%
Mason head 60%, weight 12.63lbs, 60%, length 23.6in 56%
Grayson head 25%, weight 11.8lbs 50%, height 23.62 70%
It is fun to take a look back at the other boys.
I am one lucky lady!!!

Baby Boston
Boston had his 2 week apt the other day and all went well. He is growing great. He now weighs 8lbs 9oz (40th percentile), is 21 3/4 in long (80th percentile), and his head is in the 40th percentile as well. He is super cute loves to be held and loved, and eat. His brothers are really good helpers with him too. Each one of them wants to hold him every chance they get. He had to have his circumcision today...very traumatic. We normally have this done before leaving the hospital after delivery, but because of the severe coombs jaundice we had to wait. Not FUN!! On the bright side we were able to get him off the lights today. We can now dress him, hold him and LOVE LOVE LOVE him.Mason calls him the cutest things. His main name for Boston is "that guy". Mom that guy needs his..., can I hold that guy and so on. It is pretty funny and so adorable. When I tell him to say Boston he says "Brockston" and also calls him Preston (Meag and Chases baby). Love you Mason.
Grayson loves to hold him and tries hard to steal him out of our hands. He likes to really get him rocking in his swing and tries to feed him M&M's, nuts and whatever else he is eating. We tell him no and he screams at us SHARE! Lately I have had to hide Boston around the house in his car seat some hiding places include the far side of my bed, in my bathroom or closet, in the laundry room or other places so he can sleep. Otherwise he gets pulled out of his seat and it is not always pleasant. My boys are very careful and really love their brother. I just have to keep an eye on Gray.
I have been really impressed with Easton. He is a natural with him. He holds him and loves him and can soothe him almost as good as I can. He doesn't get intimidated when he cries and will hold him for hours...really. He is really good with him and LOVES to hold him and help me with him. He takes care of him while I shower or clean. He is a lifesaver and I am so glad he is so good with all the boys. It really comes natural to him.
We are having so much fun and so happy that we get to have this little blessing in our home. I am a pretty lucky lady to be surrounded by all these wonderful, helpful, handsome boys. They treat me like a princess and make me feel special.
