20 week ultrasound

I had my big ultrasound today. It was really fun and special since my tech. was my cousin Mandee. She pointed out everything to us and spent time with us. Our baby is adorable of course. I think it looks a little different than the others believe it or not. Our baby looks super healthy, is very active, has all fingers & toes, a healthy heart and both kidneys. The placenta is attched on the front so it is hard to feel movement and very hard to get an accurate heartbeat with the handheld doppler. It was cute the way our baby was drinking the fluid and kept it's mouth slightly open. Our baby loved to move and stretch its arms and legs. I didn't want to find out the sex of our baby so we will save the surprise until the end. I am a little bit confused now. I thought for sure I knew what it was, but now I am not 99.9% sure. I will hold off on placing orders until the arrival is closer. I want to make sure I can make returns if I need too. It was so special and fun. E & M loved seeing the baby on the monitor and have talked about it throughout the day. We are so excited and can't wait the arrival of our little mover. The ultrasound said the expected arrival is Nov. 29, 2010 instead of Dec. 1, 2010...well see I think it will be sooner. It was a great day and I can't wait to see our little one. I will post a picture of our baby soon.

CHEERS TO UNFORGETTABLE FRIENDS...

Our summer highlight was having our dear friends from Florida and Provo come up for a weekend. We had a FABULOUS time. We kicked the weekend off Thursday night with a yummy dinner, celebrating Christy's 30th birthday, and fireworks for the kiddos. Friday we went to the ranch for a fun ride looking at all the animals, then came home for lunch naps and all the adults went out for a date night. We went to Toads to play like we were 12 again. Laser tag, mini golf, arcades and many rounds on the speed track. Then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was SOOO much fun. Many great thanks to my outstanding babysitters the Tatton girls for making it all possible. Saturday we continued all the memories by heading over to pineview. We rented waverunners, swam, and played on the beach for the day. The kids were exhausted to say the least so they went to bed early and we stayed up and played games and talked. THANKS A MILLION to our great friends for coming and making memories to last a lifetime. It is pretty amazing that we all have boys the same ages (8 between the 3 of us) and they get along so well. I wish we all lived closer so we could do this more often. Iwill definately be looking forward to our next get together. LOVE YOU GUYS! Thanks again.

Lake Powell 2010

We are so lucky to be able to go to Lake Powell with our good friends the Brothers family. We missed the past 2 years and were so happy to be back in action. We had a BLAST! What can go wrong with good food, good friends and good fun? NOTHING!! We hiked, ate, slept, played games, had fireworks, tubed, fished, went for boat rides,wake boarded, knee boarded, swam, went down the slide, had a water balloon game, played on the beach in the sand, and last but not least we found time to relax. It was so FUN! The spot we stayed in was PERFECT for kids. Great beach, plenty of room for the kids to swim without getting too deep. Shade in the morning and evening and sun in the day. It really was perfect and I enjoyed myself SO much. Thanks again Bry and Cecilie for another fun adventure together. We love spending time with you.

MASON is 3!!!!

Happy Birthday Mason! Ths post is a little late. His birthday was on 5-24-10, but better late than never. Mason is so loving and kind. He is always happy and has the sweetest smile. He wraps his little arms around your neck and tells you he loves you. He will share anything with anyone. He loves to go to church, grandma's and grandpa's and play with cousins and friends. He is the toughest little boy you will ever meet. He is one of a kind and and we can't get enough of him. He is so full of light and is a bright happy boy. We love you Mason.

We started Masons birthday with my family and a party. Garet, the boys and I got him the trampoline, and my family got him the pool and all the extras to go with it. HE LOVED IT...so much in fact that he swam in it even though it was only 45 degrees outside. He loves to swim.
Then he had a 2nd party with Garets family. It was special because everyone was here together. We went to the Utah lodge and he was spoiled rotten. I didn't get any pictures at the party but Grandma gave him this pirate boat water table and a croquet set. LOVES it. It was the perfect present for Mason. He can play in a sink with water and a cup for hours. Meag and Chase gave him the Iron Man mask, Lauren and Royce have him a fun twisting sprinkler...very fun under the tramp too, and Dalton and Holly gave him Ants in your pants game. All 3 boys have loved all the gifts. Thanks everyone for making Mason's 3rd birthday so special.

4 for 4...

In 2010 all 4 of us will have a baby. Kind of a cool fun thing. Especially for Rulon and Kathy. They will make the rounds from the east coast to the west coast to welcome their 4 newest grandchildren. Lauren kicked it off with Addalyn in CT, then Holly with Coraline in CA, next will be Meag with baby boy in ID, and last me with won't know till' it comes in UT. Recently we were all together in Utah and had Heather Mickey come to take pictures...last minute. So happy we did! She always does a great job capturing moments. Last picture we took was this one suggested by Heather. LOVE IT!!! We are all in different stages and it is so fun. I am just beginging, Meag is just 3.5 months away, Holly with her little 8 week old and Lauren with "A" at 4 months old. What a great memory. Thanks Heather love all that we have seen so far. You really amaze me. Can't wait for you to capture #4 for me.

An Unexpected....

Huge surprise.... expected to arrive Dec. 1, 2010. We have gone through a huge range of emotions over the past 13.5 weeks but are so excited to welcome our little angel to our family. This little one fought hard to get here and therefore must have a special place in our family. Our only request is that our baby is happy and healthy and ready to be LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!

Creative...

I love looking at blogs that have well thought out posts and are entertaining. Sadly enough mine is not. My posts are spur of the moment, not thought out or well written, and just the facts. I am happy to get a post done. So I am going to try harder to think before I write, and try to plan a little bit. I usually have 1 or more kiddos sitting on my lap while I am trying to get something posted. So this and not wanting to spend the time on blogging gets me the posts I have. I guess it is better than nothing because someday I want to print these memories and at least I will have something to look at and things to remember. For now what I post is what I post. Hopefully someday I will spend a little more time on them.
